Fisantekraal Alternative Training
Our Story
In 2012, Piet van der Westhuizen started a new alternative training programme in Fisantekraal. The programme provides a platform for kids to learn, grow, build character and enjoy themselves in an exciting environment of healthy competition.
Our Vision
That the people of Fisantekraal will change to such an extend that they will spiritualy serve the rich people of Durbanville.
Revival of Fisantekraal is one of our key prayers. We want to see Fisantekraal as a place where everyone will look beyond the superficial problems and needs and see the hearts of its people. The FAT-programmme starts with the kids, but ultimately the whole family needs to be reached by the love of Christ - for His heart goes out to the broken-hearted and He passionately loves all. We want to see this love lavished and people flourish.

Pedal Cars
A Pedal Car can be described as a bicycle on four wheels. Instead of sitting in a saddle, the driver lies on his/her back while pedaling. The car is handled and steered by turning the handle bars to the left or right. Braking is a vital part to the safety and handling of pedal cars and works similarly to a bicycles braking system. The framework can be made of various material, but mild steel proves to be the best option given limited resources.
Pedal Car Races
Pedal car racing has been around for many years and used to be a very competitive sport amongst universities across South Africa. Currently at Stellenbosch University, students compete against other teams in an endurance race of two and a half hours long and the goal is to complete the most number of laps within the given time. Participants compete in teams of 7 members and are proud ambasadors of their team name on and off the track. School teams are also allowed and the aim is to enter the annual race at Stellenbosch later this year.
